Successfully implement your time-critical regulatory programs with the help of our Regulatory Technologies team.
Are You Ready for the California Consumer Protection Act (CCPA)?
Most large U.S. businesses with customers or employees in California will need to comply with CCPA by the January 1, 2020 deadline. If you need to comply with CCPA, you are likely facing the biggest data privacy challenge your company has experienced.
Companies that have completed EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliance work are ahead of the game and can certainly leverage much of that work for CCPA compliance, however, you likely still have significant work ahead to prepare for California’s privacy law.
If your organization is focused primarily on the North America market, and didn’t need to do much to comply with the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and you have customers or employees in California, chances are you have a lot of work ahead to prepare for CCPA.

Senior Director, Regulatory Technologies
Steve Griffis brings 25 years’ experience managing regulatory, privacy, information security and audit compliance projects and programs. His project portfolio touches SOX compliance, Y2K readiness, corporate key controls, and infosec remediation, many involving state and federal regulatory agencies, including the California Public Utilities Commission and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
In addition to his global retail and corporate staffing industry experience, Steve has worked extensively in the financial services industry, including the asset management, retail banking, wealth management, card payment services, and commodity trading sectors.
Regulatory compliance projects are almost always a serious challenge, as they’re typically not part of the client’s core business, have ever-changing requirements, and face nearly impossible deadlines. They often compete for resources with other stakeholder priorities, and due to the sometimes substantial financial risks, they grab the attention of the company’s Board of Directors.
